Re: Local downdraft available?

Like minds. I was looking at one and asked about delivery. The one from grill pellet accessories. Postage would kill, but I was lucky had a friend over and he bright it back for me, however due to time I had to go a 3 day delivery and that was 40 bucks continental US! It is about 2kg. I can photo an...

Welcome. Great to see another kamado user.
Have a chat with urban griller. He's got a great booklet on the kamado.

Re: You can get fined BBQing and make too much smoke in NSW

Good thing I am now out of Strata.
Can see a point but suspect this will get abused by the whiners who are all about me.

Re: GMG pellets or...

You can also get a pallet from
http://www.smo-kingovens.com.au/woodchi ... ts-prices/

At $20 approx for 9kg bag - pallet price its quite good.

I did a group buy last year and they are good.

I prefer the GMG for low & slow though

Re: Masterchef BBQ Challenge on Wednesday with Andy Groneman

Good work Dave, Got to admit was a little disappointed in the lack of showing the cookers. Was some I suppose but more in pan shots. A little annoyed with the having to re-fill the pellets & running out of them. Can't quite understand how - but thinking about it if they were lifting the hood all...

Good work Dave,
Hope you get good coverage for the Yoder's. You deserve it with the effort involved.

Always good to get the other BBQ styles promoted. Too much gas flat top BBQ out there!

Re: Grill Grates

Facebook? Weird not giving a reply. I got a set from smokeking for a kamado, and use them on a Gasser, pellet, kamado with great results. On the Gasser (Z&B) I can only use the outer two due to the shape . Only thing I've found is they are hard to get really clean but hey doesn't affect performa...

Joes BBQ and the BBQ factory next door on silverwater rd, silverwater have a reasonable range and they supply GMG pellet grills BBQ Aroma on parramatta rd, leichhardt have a range of charcoal and smokers. I think there is a place...

Re: Nothing worse than a cracked ring

Please give us an update on how the super 3000 performs.
I may end up needing to do similar, the ring has a crack but is holding together ATM.
Eventually I expect it grow any not hold the grill properly.

Re: Outdoor Fire Suggestions

Check out this one I got from Bunning's last year. It is high enough to not burn the ground directly underneath, portable, and has a grill! The cover means it can turn into a table of sorts. The cover will put out the fire (not a raging one) http://www.aussiebbq.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1...

Re: Which Knives Do You Use

My everyday knife set is Global's. I just really like them - they have a shape that suits me. I used to be very careful with them but eventually said why they've paid for themselves several times over - so I now keep them sharp & accept they will wear out eventually so I no longer worry about ch...

Re: u-bute butane grill

Hi, I don't have exactly the same unit. Just one of those single burner ones from Bunning's. Real cheap, but portable and with a cast iron plate would be ideal when camping. Just no time at the moment. May end up getting a two burner model for more flexibility. But these will only get used when trav...
