The baby q is not approved for natural gas.
i would highly recommend against doing what you are thinking of doing as it is extremely dangerous, illegal.
The simple solution is the only solution to your problem.

Re: Age of a Q220
I think you have another 15-20 years.
Cast Aluminium body/hood
Plastic pieces.
Nothing really rust worthy in it.
Plenty of time to go.. Unless you want to buy another one and have a cook off with your wife?

Re: To buy a Ziggy Triple Grill or not
Hi Daazzaa, I have a twin burner Ziggy and a Family Q. Dad has a Triple burner Ziggy. My Family Q is NG. While it's true these types of bbqs use a lot less gas than a 4 burner, but with the twin burner I was going through probably 4 bottles a year, the bigger one may use a little more. At $30 excha...

Re: Beafeater Bugg issues
Can you do that again but open the lid a lot slower. I wondering if the quick lift isn't causing it to blow out. In the first clip I posted, I did not lift the lid as quick and the flame did the exact same thing. I was just unable to capture it in the recording. It happens regardless of how quick I...

Re: Beafeater Bugg issues
It makes me look like I am losing my marbles, but I can tell you it does happen. I have nothing to gain in making this up. I have over 10 years experience in dealing with gas appliances. Gas can do some weird and freaky things that i still can't explain. Most common issue is regulators playing up, ...

Re: NEWBIE > WEBER Q 2200 (GAS) BLACK - LIMITED EDITION
Family Q (3200) with the high lid and temperature gauge FTW. Xmas is coming so you will pick one up for around $699 with a few freebies thrown in, just shop around at any Weber Master dealer. It's a bigger BBQ but you can remove the 4 bolts on the stand and take it with you. Fits nicely in a bit it...

Re: Beafeater Bugg issues
i tried my best to capture what actually happens. It is difficult as it all happens very quickly. If you Look at the burner on the right you will see it reignites as I open the lid (the outside of the burner). I am thinking of just take it back to Joe's and getting a exchange for a different brand ...

Re: Beafeater Bugg issues
If i were trouble shooting,
I would try replacing the regulator first.
If that happens, well normally when im trouble shooting gas issues, I replace the reg and they work like a charm.
If the BBQ is clean, you shouldn't be having this issue

Re: Newcastle's Best BBQ Cook
One of the issues I can see with what you're trying to do Mark is the space you have to work in, would be council land therefore needing council permission to hold such events. the amount of vehicle traffic (seagulls) that might want to stop to see what's going on if you've got a heap of people sta...

Mark2011 good on you for trying to get things happening here in Newcastle. I am not sure how are comp like you described would work ? Oh trust me, I'm not sure how it would work. I did consider a kettle/wsm cookoff type event but due to limited space outside the shop it wasn't really possible, not ...

Weber all the way. If you cook how they want you to cook, I own a weber myself. I sell them, aftersales wise they are faultless. If you are tossing up between them, even add the beefeater bugg. Similar build to the ziggy, may even come out of the same factory as them. And the new black ones are very...

I know at work now, Glendale Warehouse
We have 5kg bags of Charmate charcoal, $15 a bag
I know a few from here have asked me in the past to get my boss to carry some charcoal.
Convinced her this year.
Also can recommend Manuka Wood chips, stuff is great on fish
