From the sticky on this thread up the top where it has links to the various brands that were available up to 2013 there ain’t too many bra...

Re: The Future of BBQ

This is such an interesting topic & it gets all sorts of replies. I think that Importers & Brands have the biggest influence on BBQ in every market including ours. All you need to do is look at how Weber have changed Australian BBQ over the years. With 4 brands of Pellet BBQs now imported into Aust...

Re: Cyberq power supply question

Opps didn't see that Gumb..... http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MB3692 fully charged should give you 12 plus hours running. Just run it from the 12V cig output. $99 I have seen the slightly larger version in action at our kids go karting. It runs a 12v air compressor which is used for int...

10 metre extension cable from bunnings is $10....I think their 25 metre is less than $25.

The purchase a 12v regulated power supply from Jaycar......lest than $25.

Re: Electrical & Saftey Compliance and RCM Certification

What compliance issue has been resolved? EMC Man post appears to be a statement of fact with respect to where EMC and Electrical safety is now and where it is heading in the foreseeable future for ALL electrical and electronic product manufactured here and imported...not just BBQs. Having lived in t...

Re: BBQ Guru Cyber Q wifi vs Rocks BBQ Stoker

Thank you Fleetz that was incredibly insightful. I was sold on the stoker but am now thrown back in the works as i have little to no patience for IT errors. A friend that lives close by is a programmer and the local go-to person for anything network related and i trust his knowledge, however the pr...

Re: BBQ Guru Cyber Q wifi vs Rocks BBQ Stoker

I have set up both. About 2 years ago I help a friend in San Francisco select and set up a lo and slow BBQ system whilst on a planned visit to the USA. At that time the CyberQ was not released and the Stoker looked to be the obvious controller for the job. It needed to have remote WiFi control as my...

Re: Help with replacement bbq

I am with Edgy consider a pellet grill/smoker. With a pellet you have the convenience similar to gas but you can, bake, smoke and grill. The food flavour coming off a pellet (or a smoker) in my oppinion is streets ahead of a gasser.... There are plenty of pellet owners here indeed pretty much every ...
