Re: Who Hunts?

I go hunting with mates here and there. My favorite gun is the 22 magnum for foxes/rabbits and the 222 for deer and roos. Min calibre for deer in Vic is 234 or 270 depending on species, I can only assume the Roos are being culled on a permit? You wouldn't advertise the fact you're knocking over nat...

Looks pretty good to me. You can't beat BBQ, brewing and folding the washing for a perfect afternoon.

Re: I saw it, I bought it ......

Don't use heat beads in a kamado!! they're designed to run on natural charcoal, learn to use the vents like a throttle to control the temp, open or close too fast and you'll get in a spin.

Re: 0-0-0-0-3 RIBS

If you don't mind me asking where'd you pick up the ribs? finding it hard to get a good butcher in the Newcastle area. Edgeworth Meat & More. I only grab some ribs if they've left a reasonable amount of meat on em. The price we have to pay for bones called "American Ribs" is a ripoff.

Re: Partyq/DigiQ and BSK

Is the PartyQ's fan too weak for the BSK or? I like the battery option due to lack of power outlets close to my Keg. Magnus, I reckon the partyQ would be fine, if , you get the Keg up near the temp you want to maintain and have get the vents set pretty close, with the digiQ you can just light the w...

Me too, you'll also need an adaptor to plug the US style plug into our 240 outlet, I got mine from Dick Smith.

Re: Partyq/DigiQ and BSK

I think they're only available direct from the manufacture. Here's a review by an old member, http://www.aussiebbq.info/forum/viewtop ... =16&t=2537,

I went with the the 8 foot probe option as recommended by mr green.

There were pics of the port I wacked in mine here but they were in imagecave and that's dead, here's a link to the keg forum, http://forum.bigsteelkeg.com/index.php?topic=1439.0 , you can get the port with the guru if your game to drill a couple of holes, when not in use a silicon plug seals it up. ...

Re: Partyq/DigiQ and BSK

I have both, the partyQ is good for the little Primo but I'd recommend the digiQ for the BSK, along with a dedicated port. With enough use the top vent will get to the stage you will struggle to open it without applying a little heat, then it's got a good seal!
