Just looking at the Webber q built in so it has a stainless surround. https://www.weberbbq.com.au/weber-q/built-in/
Do you think a hardwood wouldn’t provide enough protection? The cupboards will be compact laminate which I’m pretty sure is resistant too.

Benchtop for bbq kitchen
Hi everyone, Still in our planning stages, but looking for options for benchtops for the outdoor kitchen. Apparently the benchtop needs to be heat resistant for the bbq, so the section that will hold the built in. Anyone know much about using a hardwood timber? Is that sufficient? Apparently most en...

Re: Weber q vs stainless
Just a question of the Weber q vs the normal stainless bbq, which do you prefer and why? ... So, which way are you thinking you'll go? So far I have been looking at the built in Weber q but need to get down to a specialist store to have a good look. Been looking at the blue tongue gas bbqs and also...

Re: Bbq advice
Trying to pick a good bbq for our outdoor kitchen. ... What should we be looking for? How close is your outdoor kitchen area to your house and outdoor dining area? Smoky style BBQ options in close proximity to either will soon lose there appeal. What do you want to cook? What style of cooking do yo...

Not a huge fan of the look of the Weber q but I’ve never heard anything bad about them. Everyone seems to live them that has them?
What’s the pros and cons of them?

Re: Bbq advice
Thanks for all the info Davo! I will definitely look into the wood pellet bbq’s haven’t heard of them before. As far as looks go: It will be the typical straight line kitchen, sitting in our alfresco which has a brick wall behind it, pitched pergola style roof. The wall it will sit on is adjacent to...

Bbq advice
Trying to pick a good bbq for our outdoor kitchen. Family all swear by the Webber summit which is great but on the $$$$ side especially when trying to do a kitchen. What’s a good alternative? Been looking around and they all seem to vary considerably. Looked at some beef eaters, euro, gasmate and ev...
