In the UK it was traditional for my mates and I to go for a post Christmas curry. Something about needing some spice after all the bland Christmas food and a good catch up of course. Anyway post Christmas curry urge and feeling a bit homesick. Chicken thighs marinated in yogurt and tikka powder mix....

Re: Parts for uds?

Looking good!

Minimal to no sparks.
They would have to make it all the way up to the top of the barrel, find the bottom of the chimney and then up and out. Also they are not running grilling temps, just ticking over on low and slow.
Maybe a little hat would be sufficient?

Re: Jumbuck 5 in 1 Drum

Did you decide to go with this in the end? My mate just got one via ebay. First thing I noticed is that there is no vent control. A quick trip to Bunnings sorted that. Some flashing tape to block up 5 of the six holes per side and then some 20mm gas fittings including two of these (https://www.bunn...

First catering gig.

Back in March my mate Jimbo asked me to help out with catering for an event at his local pub. I jumped on a plane and headed over to Hobart, Tasmania. https://i.imgur.com/tjbF6eL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3WTmiuX.jpg Al, landlord of The New Sydney Hotel (http://newsydneyhotel.com.au/) was running one ...

Re: Its Quiet on this Board

- I also think the board could do with a bit of a trim. Like me, it’s gotten fatter as the years have passed. Where the trimming needs doing is the $64 question though. (IMO) chop what you have down to: "OZ BBQ GENERAL" Forum Welcome BBQ General "BBQ TYPES" Gas Charcoal Wood &qu...

Wow!

Is that two shoulders?

Also, is that fuel - some type of aussie pine cone?

Has it finished, how was it?

Re: Its Quiet on this Board

Just a thought from a newbie import - while it's a bit quiet, would it be worth consolidating some of the sub forums?

Would help make the place look busier rather than diluting the posts across the many boards. Hopefully that would encourage more posts?

Cheers, Dave.
