Re: Looftlighter recall?

Well the 8 year old 2000W heat gun did the trick with some lump charcoal last night. Quite easy actually and has a switch so thumb cramp holding down the button.

I just need a cordless one now. Still interested in the butane set up.

Masters. Bernzomatic 850. The 20 dollar masters discount coupon they are running for January alleviated the mushroom cloud from being cast over my house from my wife. I thought you had made that yourself! It's not showing in the website. How much was it? She isn't concerned about the money, there w...

Re: Looking to build a BBQ cart

A rolling table for work space on top and storage for all the stuff underneath is on the too do list for this year. At one stage I was going to put my wok burner on it as well, however I have the bottom half of a kettle under the house so was thinking I might cut a hole in the side to slide the gas ...

Re: Looftlighter recall?

Shame, mine died yesterday and had to run out to get fire starters. Anyone has other alternatives, I have flirted with the idea of a butane torch. Will have to keep it hidden from the boss however ....... Do you have a cheap heat gun lying around? Works better than the looft IMO. At the time the th...

Re: I saw it, I bought it ......

Thanks again guys. This weekend was a 2 kg rib roast, marinated in salt pepper and thyme. Cleaned all the heat beads out of it and cooked for about 5 hours with charcoal. First time using charcoal and it is fantastic, lit it with fire starters but I think I will get a looftlighter for the next attem...

Re: I saw it, I bought it ......

Cheers Guys, The local Joe's BBQ is shutting down, $800 with a cover, the sticker was $1800 however I know Urban has them for $1500 delivered. Headed to Noosa tomorrow for the week, playing will have to wait. So just build a charcoal fire in the bottom and let it distribute the heat or is it like a ...

Changes in Weber Dealers in NSW

Hi guys, This maybe old news however popped into Joes at Narrabeen yesterday and noticed again that they have less and less weber stock, no Qs or kettles at all, virtually no accessories and just some big summits etal. Anyway as they didn't have what I wanted I left and I was just looking on the web...
