Re: Newbi from Newcastle NSW
Thanks skippy, quinlans is just down the road from work and not far from home..... How much they charging for the emberpak charcoal? I've also been wanting to try some of Dunn's award winning snags....many of the flavoured ones i've bought in the past from other butchers have been way too salty. Ch...

Re: Newbi from Newcastle NSW
Welcome aboard, good to see more people from Newcastle myself included getting into the scene. Lump charcoal by Emberpak is now sold at Quinlans BBQ for a reasonable price. Country brewer in Maitland has different woods for smoking. Not sure who your butcher is, but I have been using Harris Farms at...

Re: Gazroy from Adelaide

Holds heat well, the doors for the water pan and charcoal basket are good to use. The only downside is having to get on the ground to adjust the vents, b...

Bone in Pork Belly
So I went shopping over the weekend for some meat to help christen my Pro Q this week and ended up with a 2kg slab of bone in Pork Belly. The main issue is I don't know what would be the best way to cook it. Separate it into ribs and belly and cook in different ways, as I know obtaining crackle for ...

Re: Sweet Baby Rays @ Aldi
Went in tonight and got the American Steakhouse Seasoning (which is made in the UK) and the Chipotle BBQ sauce.
Had them both on burgers with some chilli jam, was very tasty.

Re: Another one from Newcastle
Yeah I have heard masters is on the way out, none really in my area. Oh I have never thought of going to Harris Farms, will have to keep that in mind. I have only got pork shoulder and lamb chops from the pickled pig, have changed jobs to the Belmont area recently and both were good. They are friend...

haha he is doing a good job than.
If anyone has butcher recommendations up this way I am all ears. I generally use either Dunn's in New Lambton or The Pickled Pig in Belmont North but am always open to suggestions.
