Re: Weber Spirit Roast - To rack or not to rack?
Hi mate ... I would say with a rack & some alfoil (with holes poked in it) underneath the rack purely so you don't have to clean as much , thats how ive done it on my Weber Q ... so I imagine it would be the same as that for your Spirit. But if all else fails, try both methods. Can't have to muc...

Re: NEWBIE > WEBER Q 2200 (GAS) BLACK - LIMITED EDITION
Love my webers ...when I'm doing +200c temps in the q220 I've noticed heating issues, just seems to take as long o get to 220c then it did to get to 200c. But the overall capabilities outweigh that in my opinion. Plus as previously mentioned, their after sales service makes ALOT of other companies l...

Re: Australian Native Timber Matrix for Smoking
Hi Guys, had to remove a leopard tree from the backyard ... the roots found a pipe to crush
My question is, can it be used for smoking chunks or chips?
"Caesalpinia ferrea"
Hopefully picture helps:

Rib Fillet - low & slow
Had the time to do a low & slow 1.6kg Rib Fillet which was marked down at the butchers ... to $14! Rubbed it on Friday with what was left of my GMG Beef Rub & Ted Readers Bone Dust ... mixed together, with mustard powder. Sat in the fridge, glad-wrapped, until Tuesday morning. The night befo...

Number 3: http://www.thebarbequestore.com.au/beefeater-discovery-1100s-built-in-series-5-burner-bd16350/[/quote] I know they cop a bit of flack ... but Beefeater really do make some of the best built in units, I have owned a Signature series & only parted with it because I moved out of that plac...

Looks like you've got a little condensation under the lens of your camera (phone, maybe?) Probably ... & probably some greasy thumbprint as Urbangriller accurately described  The missus has been giving me heaps about it as she has a cheaper phone & it takes much better pics .... oh wel...

Re: Just bought a Kettle. All new to me
Nice pick up Mckimms ... the red model is no longer available as far as I'm aware .. - A Weber Ash Tray/Catcher is about $22 from most Weber Specialist stores ... but you can mod something easily enough if you have the know-how. - A chimney starter is very much worth the bucks ... makes life a hell ...

Pulled Pork Collar
So after having many a good pulled pork lately, I thought I had better give it a whirl for myself. I spoke to my local butcher & he suggested to try the pork neck (collar) ... so I got one carved up & gave it a crack. Used Myron Mixon Hog Injection recipe ... for injection surprisingly enoug...

First beef ribs cook on kettle
Been lurking for a bit, better post something. So I thought I'd try beef ribs for the first time. Picked some pre cut from my local mega meats, no full racks, oh well next time... got them home & trimmed a little bit, not much treats for the dogs. Applied grapeseed oil, the rub was GMG beef rub,...

Re: Weber Q Fry Pan
Haven't tried it on kettle yet. Thought I heard, possibly after a beer or two, that it's not wise to use Teflon stuff on your kettle? Or is that an old wives tale?Hogsy wrote:Ok I'm sold DARTHSMOKER, would it be suitable for use on a kettle as well?

Re: Weber Q Fry Pan
Purchased one few weeks ago .... works great. You have to really let it heat up for good results, but the many different uses for it outweigh that ... also really easy to clean.
