Re: Hi From Melb

Will have to wait until I get a chance to put them on Photbucket. Unless people are on Facebook Weber page?

Re: Hi From Melb

Update - I have now done 3 roasts on the Weber Q. Still in practice phase but loving the results already. Hubby also loves the result but he's still stubborn enough that he won't say he likes the new BBQ. He does put up with me giving him a verbal dig each time though. ;)

Re: Hi From Melb

OK, Hubby's distracted. I need some inspiration / advice. I have a 1kg bolar blade roast, a butternut pumpkin, potatoes, carrots, onions, fresh garlic & zucchini from our garden some fresh mushrooms and a brand new Weber Q2200. Hubby loves roasts so I really want to impress. Was thinking to seas...

Re: Hi From Melb

Thanks for the support everyone :) Hubby headed off to a school working bee first thing Sat morning and the old BBQ was gone an hour later (shoulder stuffed from moving it on my own). I caught up with him at the working bee and then headed off for the weekend to Bendigo for a meeting so I wasn't aro...

Re: Hi From Melb

Hmmmm, Hubby not impressed that I spent "all that money on something we didn't need"

Will go look at recipes to console myself. (note, just gave him Heat & Smoke, Bob Hart for his Bday) :/

Re: Hi From Melb

Thanks for all the advice guys. I found out that John Allen in Knox is a specialist dealer. Very helpful and had multiple units for me to look at. The down side of this is I bought more than I probably should of, but they gave me a discount. :) I'm soooo excited and ready to cook but have to drive t...

Re: Hi From Melb

Great to hear. OK, next question. Where can I find a Webber special us dealer in the Eastern Suburbs of Melb? I looked on the website but this was how I ended up at BG. I want some place that has more the just 2 models and will travel if I need to! :)

Re: Pastrami

Please excuse if not allowed, but can I please ask for the recipe or method you used? My Dad loves pastrami (I'm pretty fond too) and that looks awesome!

Re: Hi From Melb

Thanks for the info. I want something that I can bbq, roast, grill, and smoke with. I love cooking and preserving (dehydrating, canning, etc). Not worried about whether I have to keep the lid up or down, the lady at BG made it sound like this was a better option for chops and sausages (this is why I...

Hi From Melb

We have an ancient 4 burner gas BBQ and a Webber charcoal BBQ. I am on a mission to learn how to properly use the Webber and am also looking at upgrading the 4 burner so I have a quicker option for dinner as well. I have been looking at info on 4 burner BBQs and that's how I came across this forum. ...
