Re: Different Charcoal For Different Situations

Hi folks. My first experience at cooking with charcoal happened two weeks ago when I took delivery of a Kamado Joe Classic. Never cooked with charcoal before owning this beast, now I wonder how the hell am I only just discovering this!? Anyway - when I bought the KJ, BBQs Galore threw a bag of KJ c...

Re: Different Charcoal For Different Situations

Personally I have no idea, and going by the last month or two, the owner or Admin off this forum will not help you out as well. Google Australian BBQ forums and go elsewhere. I'm sad to say this but I believe people and this forum have been abandoned Sad really I have personally did not write on thi...

Re: NEED HELP TO SELECT GAS BBQ - VERY CONFUSED

I do not have a gas bbq, but if one day I decide to buy one it would be a Weber traditional style, not one of the Q family that I don't like. Pierre, what don't you like about the Weber Family Q's...I'd be interested to know. I've had the Q120 about 10 yrs ago and that was a little dynamite....got ...

Re: Brining - Does this negate all other flavourings?

I recently did a Captain Cook's Brined chicken on my weber kettle, and it was quite tasty. I also recently had a rotisserie chook with a herbs de provence and oil baste/marinade on it, and it was delicious. So I'm going to try the herbes de provence and oil mix myself (using the Beer Can Chicken me...

Re: Food Safari

Very disappointed in this series. Very light on with prep information, almost quick magazine article type presenting. No depth whatsoever, and the receipes are non-existent. Could have been done so much better. I quite like the format of other shows with a similar focus such as the BBC A Cook Abroa...

His could have come from anywhere. But This will do the job, http://www.cyprusgrill.com.au/buy-RG_1208_Stainless_Steel_Rotating_Grill___Great_for_Portuguese_Style_Chicken-23.html You nailed the brand I believe, the bbq is just a Cyprus, the thing is the rotating grills they sell are 12 cm wide whil...

Jose Silva's rotisserie seen on Food Safari Fire

Last thursday watching the show I have seen an interesting small bbq that the Jose Silva guy, a portuguese chef based in Sydney, used to cook two butterflied chickens on charcoal. It did not use a traditional rod to spit the chooks but a sort of flat grill to keep the birds flat and steady. I could ...

Re: Weber Alternative - Check it out

I have bought one last year, I have used a cheap cover from bunnings and there is not rust so far. The trolley is solid. I use it for grilling I don't know if it can match a weber kettle for roasting performance.

Re: Pop ups on this site

Try posting a screenshot like requested several times rather than acting like a child. This kind of belittling answer helps no one. I also get the godaddy popups and I don't think you need a screenshot to know what a popup looks like. Just because its not happening on your computer doesn't mean its...
