Re: I have to do this!

I had a crack at the bacon wrapped pineapple donuts last year for bacon week and struggle big time with the wrapping of them haha http://gusfacegrillah.com/2014/06/26/ba ... on-donuts/

might have to have a go at the actual donuts wrapped in bacon though - so bad it's good!

Re: Future BBQ Directions

from everything you've said about not being able to get up during the night, ash clean out etc, i'm thinking pellet grill for sure

it will cost a bit more than your stated budget, but easy to use, easy to run overnight cooks and you can monitor and control from the palm of your hand!

Re: What is this?

I actually have that exact same table at home (but with legs)

I can send you a pic if you like, the legs slide in to the grooved bit on the left hand side of your first pic

Re: Feeding 6 people with a 5hr cooking window?

brine a few chooks the night before and smoke 'em about 130 degrees - pull them apart when they're done and have chicken and avo rolls

or reverse sear some tri-tip and slice it all up for rolls

i like the lamb ribs. feeding six people with pork ribs would just about bankrupt me in perth :P
