Thanks everyone, So.. A couple of variations on the fridge idea, Wood is sounding interesting. Doesn't sound like anyone's tried the steel office cabinet idea - that still interests me. Concerned about heat loss in hot smoking, but probably wouldn't be that much worse than wood? The dummy briquettes...

Hi AlpacaBloke, What would you compare an Alpaca too taste wise? Sheep? Goat? Depends how it's cooked. Personally I think it's closest to veal, but with a texture that's closer to lamb.
