Re:
Airflow might be a concern. Do you plan to install some sort of rangehood/extraction to prevent the ceiling or underside roof structure from going black, greasing up etc? Didn't really think about airflow in the roof design, will have to sketch up some ideas for where the extraction points need to ...

Outdoor BBQ area build
The only thing being built in will be the whole north side in the picture..
The plan is to enclose the gas burner in a brick structure, the bench will either be stainless steel or tiles, not sure which as yet but I want it to be weather proof so probably some sort of tile.

So I'm looking at utilizing a 5m x 2.5m area on the side of the house for a dedicated BBQ area. Currently I'm finding i'm wheeling my baby q and YS640 from the other side of the house to an undercover area that we currently use for eating doesn't leave a huge amount of room for a permanent BBQ area ...

Re: DIY Pizza Oven kits in Melbourne
Did you want to build it brick by brick or build a base and out a cast dome on it? If you go brick by brick sign up to forno bravo and download their free plan. I either want a brick by brick (pre cut as I don't want to have to cut all the bricks) or a pre cast dome that is either in 1 or 2 pieces ...

DIY Pizza Oven kits in Melbourne
Can anyone recommend any DIY pizza oven kit that can be purchased in Melbourne? I've looked around and found a few for sale on ebay and a company called MelbourneFireBricks which seems pretty good. I've decided to take the plunge and started my research for a good kit that will hopefully stand the t...

Re: What did you cook Part 10- April 2014
Went nuts on the weekend and bought 6 racks of pork spare ribs from costco. Ended up going st louis style and cooked the ribs tips seperately on the smoker. 3 racks used mad hunky dry rub while the other three had my home made dry rub on them (I've got a St louis Rub i use), rib tips also when half ...

Re: What Did You Cook Part 9 - Dec 2013
Here's some baby back ribs i tried a while back, went a bit nuts on the paprika. Ribs on the rib rack, replacing the rib racks here with Man Law rib rack shortly, should hold up to 7 full racks of ribs https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7158/13400373945_b84426354d.jpg After 2 hours on the smoker spritzi...
