Re: What's your dream outdoor kitchen?

As already suggested, it's upto you and your imagination so long as you have enough budget for it. There is a few threads about on the forum from a while back with some peoples outdoor kitchens. Here's a link to when we did ours years back https://www.aussiebbq.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11...

Re: New Stainless steel Pizza Oven

The pizza's we cook in ours directly on the bricks, we don't use pans or anything else. There was already photos of this sorry but they are obviously no longer working. Here's a old photo of one of our pizza's cooking.

Re: New Stainless steel Pizza Oven

Sorry the pictures are gone, haven't worked out a new hosting site since all the drama with Photobucket. Still have the pizza oven and it still looks tops when we clean it. Wife and I both love it though we haven't had much chance to use it throughout winter, life has had a few ups 'n downs that hav...

Re: New Stainless steel Pizza Oven

BRP, I can't directly compare with the Maximus as I've never used one myself but there is a thread on here you may have already noticed and the owners of them sharing their thoughts. My initial thoughts are that they are similar in ways, yet quite different also, The Maximus has a different look to ...

Re: What I've been upto the weekend = Outdoor Kitchen

That backyard looks like party central  Hasn't seen as many as we had intended, thought my boys (young adults) would have used it more often but that's youth of today for ya. But it gets enjoyed and used by us, in fact often it makes for a nice escape from them lol. Yum!! Do you need to use s...

Re: New Stainless steel Pizza Oven

Thanks Budgetburner for getting back to me. We move into our new place in a month and this is the first purchase. The OH has been promising me he would build me one for years and I have given up waiting! Do they get very hot? Just thinking if it needs to be kept away from the windows and glass pool...

Re: What I've been upto the weekend = Outdoor Kitchen

Wow, what perfect weather it was here in SA last night. Couldn't resist it, had a slow cooked gerello in wine roast and then did roast veges with baked cheese broccoli and cauliflower and even Yorkshire puddings. Gravy was done on the gas burner lol

Re: What I've been upto the weekend = Outdoor Kitchen

Fairy lights are a nice touch. Herb garden and lawns look well cared for. Great result! I like the coloured lights, I quite often have them on. Xmas and parties are too far between lol and I like the atmosphere with them on, as well as the fact when you turn the main lights off to chill out by the ...

Re: What I've been upto the weekend = Outdoor Kitchen

Just an updated pic of the area couple years later, still enjoying it greatly. Not bad for mostly scrounging and bargaining lol, it's certainly been good value and makes things much more enjoyable just having somewhere with/under some cover. Fire pit got changed too, just used some retaining blocks ...

Re: New Stainless steel Pizza Oven

Howdy BRP, Yeah mate, it was BBQ spit rotisseries (pretty sure that's the name) and if I remember correctly I got it via eBay but they have a website and shop. Seemed like good people (had a couple of phone calls with them) but never went to them as I'm in a different state. They are in melb or Sydn...

Re: New Stainless steel Pizza Oven

G'day Ben, We still love it mate and use it often, it's normally a toss up between the SS Pizza oven or the Off set smoker these days but we have slowed down on using the outdoor kitchen the last 8 months or so. But that's mostly because of a few other family health issues and not being home much ov...

Re: Safety of pesticides in wood for smoking.

I guess it's one of those things you have to make your own mind up about, as I doubt there has been any real testing or research into this. I will add that while whatever has been sprayed onto the tree and/or it's fruit may be gone (or just safe for ingestion) does not make it safe for inhalation. T...

Re: Quick cooks (weeknights) on an offset?

You can use a off set as often as you like, mine takes no longer than the gasser really. 5 to 20 mins, I use lump charcoal mostly and get it started in a chimney. Getting it going well is the key, I just use my heatgun. Set it to 650 degrees hold it on the coals for 2-3 mins, then go get meats and b...

Re: Wood suppliers for Pizza ovens in Sydney

I don't know if this helps over there in Sydney but I go to my local landscaping place as they sell fire wood for woodheaters, they normally just use a loader and tip it into your trailer and you pay by weight. But I don't need that much being mostly for just the pizza oven, so they let me just walk...
