Re: Aldi gas smoker

I`ve got an amaze-n-smoker for my electric smoker.
It can be used internally or externally with the letterbox mod.
The second method is good for cold smoking.

Just received my PK grill minus instructions.

Assembly looks easy enough but wondering about the other information in the book.

Re: PK Grill

Hogsy said there is a supplier in Aus now. So that would work out cheaper.[/quote]

The PK bbq at BBQ smokers site is a blank page.
Its a good price from your link.

Re: PK Grill

Looks great, thinking of upgrading my smokey joe to a kamado.
Maybe this could be an alternative ?

Do you have links / costs for your set up ?
Grill grates alone are double in AU compared to Amazon.

Re: Looking for a cheap cold smoker for cheese

Stratco have it a bit cheaper.

There might be a heat issue with the Amazen on the bottom rack.
I would use the letterbox mod to reduce the heat.

Re: Looftlighter back in bunnings

Just a heads up for Adelaide people. Bought 2 @ $15 each at Bunnings Parafield. The advertised price is still $29.95 but after complaining about all the lucky Victorians getting them for $15, I was told to speak to the duty manager. She made a quick call (guessing her boss) then said I could have th...

Cheap chimney starter pack SA

There`s a couple of the heat beads chimney starter kits @ woolworths Para hills for $8, originally $26.
Apparently this is Australia wide but many woolworths have sold out.

Re: Smokey Joe $2

I got this one.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... tualweberb

It was $53 all up, $29 + $23 postage.
The AU $ is not as generous now.

The silver has a bottom vent.
The gold has side vents.
Both AU models are black.
