Re: Remove ash/charcoal after each cook...?

I empty when its full, sometimes little bits of charcoal fall in, and can light up. Thats the only issue

Re: Weber Jumbo Joe Kettle

Been thinking of getting the jumbo joe for the front yard/porch. Had a few cartons of beer at the front over the last 10 weeks with mates, as in no Pubs (till tomorrow yes finaly) I find the kettle to big for finger foods, the GA to small.

Froze them till the top bit went hard, put the hard fat in the bin. Then added a little juice both nights to keep it moist. Then pourderd a little more on the remaining left over meat and froze it. Still had a fair bit of juice that got binned

Re: New here, Be gentle!

I would say 90% of outdoor cookers have fluctuations. People do try gasket kits and sealers. But yes your right the temp gauge can be 100% one day and really off the next. So many things can do this wind, whats cooking, fire set ups, (but your using pellets) i have never used pellets before. Also co...

Re: Chuck Roast

Yay Tapatalk is awake. Pulled chuck was amazing, bit to big as in lots of left overs. Had 2 large stuffed jacket potatos, 6 tarco, and 6 tarco boats, and a bowl put in the freezer. Have to say it was fool proof. Found the recipe on you tube. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190517/242a97b2fdb69ae6...

Chuck Roast

7am Chuck Roast in the Akorn. And potatoes on the Weber kettle. If all goes to plan 7 hours should be having pulled beef coleslaw jacket potatoes. I did 4 hours at 250F and now have foiled with beef stock in a foil pan. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190513/1f407991f0acb55c9a7a4321b4821e44.jpg h...

Re: Beer Can Chook

Had the same issue with beer can chicken went to put in the Weber Q won't fit had to light the Akorn up. One thing I find hard about beer can chicken. Is getting the can out especially when the liquid inside is so hot. My little tip is to put a metal skewer through the can to let the liquid out and ...
