Re: New Australian BBQ Wood Pellets - Have your Say!

Hi Paul Yes there are Australian manufactures, the main issues are softness causing too much ash which can lean to hopper box fires and the other issue is harness. Australian timbers can be too hard, and because the augers of all pellet BBQs are designed to cut long pellets in half, we are expirenci...

Hi At the end of the day you really do get what you pay for, so buy the best grill that your pocket will alow After importing and cooking on Pellet BBQs in Australia for almost 7 years now the best advice I can give you is the following: Don’t EVER buy a pellet grill online without viewing it first....

Re: Question for those who use Pellet cookers

Gents, this is really no problem. If you disconnect the igniter, which is easily done on the Yoder & Louisiana then you can run off a car battery. All you are then running is a fan or 2, control board and auger motor, these all together use hardly any power.

Re: off set smoker (NZ)

Hi all In NZ we have almost no offset smokers available. Yoder was available for a while but is now hard to get but can be inported from Aus on order. you can imagine what that adds to the cost. There is available a "Texas Original Pit" this has a horizontal barrel and a vertical barrel a...

Louisiana LG900 Pellet BBQ

Just thought I would make a quick post if the Mods don't mind :D As well as Yoder, I am now the exclusive importer of the Louisiana LG Series Pellet Grills into Australia. http://www.louisiana-grills-australia.com.au/ I chose Louisiana over other Chinese built brands to import due to better design a...

Re: Where to buy pellet fuel in Australia

I Import BBQr's Delight which are the only pellet recommended by Yoder Smokers.

Try the different brands and always look out for the ash left behind by the cheaper pellets

Try for yourself & take little notice of what people say is the best.

cheers Dave

Re: Versatility of smaller units?

Same old advice from certain people here... Yes I import Yoder & Louisiana into Australia, as you can see in my signature. I chose these 2 brands for design and build quality over others. Also beware of certain people here who just want to push what their mates sell even tho they are not certifi...

Re: Versatility of smaller units?

The Louisiana is your answer in my opinion as it will do High Temp grilling as well as any BBQ with great flavour. The big advantage is the short large diameter auger and the large burn grate. We have just dropped the price of these units to be in line with the other brands and the LG700 is now RRP ...
