Rib Steaks - Cooked Sous Vide for 4 hours, then finished on Kettle. Served them with some Mushrooms and Jacket Spuds that were cooked on the kettle as well. The gas smokers look interesting for the price.
Are they identical to Harks, or are there any differences in the design & quality between both brands ?

Re: Akorn - No longer sold by Bunnings
I spoke to someone in Bunning's NSW State Support Centre last Tuesday, who said they're just running out the remaining stock in stores at the moment because they're mainly a summer range product. They said they should be selling them again when Spring/Summer arrives. Probably like the Looft Lighters...

Re: Electric carving knife - any suggestions ?
I bought a Sunbeam in 2004 and it's still going strong - no complaints. Mind you, it doesn't get used constantly - usually only when we want to carve a roast once or twice a month or the X-Mas ham, so I suppose your mileage may vary. Advice On Cooking Leg Of Lamb on Kettle
I have a 6" EZ-Que cradle rotisserie that I've been wanting to use on my kettle for some time now. Since I have a small leg of lamb that needs cooking in the next day or so, I thought it might be a good excuse to try it out. Has anyone here cooked one on a rotisserie before, compared to just co...

" Oh well, at least I know what doesn't work "
That's the spirit.
As Thomas Edison once said: "I have not failed. I've just found 10000 ways that won't work."
Seriously though - some of the crackle might be beyond eating, but I reckon the rest should be O.K.
