Re: Unable to adjust flame on bbq?

What brand and type is it? You'll get more help if you supply more details to help with the diagnosis.

Re: How do you setup your charcoal for indirect cooking?

Hey guys, im having trouble maintaining my weber kettle temperature around the 225-250F mark. The common method ive tried is filling up the one of standard charcoal chambers it comes with. However after a couple of hours the temp starts to drop below 200. I always have to refuel. I don't know if yo...

Re: Weber Q with beads

The problem you'll have using the gas Q with beads are height and ventilation. The char Q doesn't have the gas burner taking up a lot of the internal space under the grill where you'll want to put the beads. If you want to do some slow cooks, I'll take it you mean long/low & slow, you'll need enough...

Re: Has anyone tried smoking on an apartment balcony?

Put a fan blowing outwards to the balcony which should keep the smoke away from the building.

Re: no crackling

G'day EN, The baby Q will certainly get hot enough for good crackling and here are a few things that you can do to get it. I've lifted these ideas from the wise folk around here over the years. 1. Invest in good quality meat. Typically, supermarket meat leaves a bit to be desired in the fat and tast...

Re: Cooking with aluminium

G'day Applegarth,
I think that if you did a search that you'd find there's probably as much opinion for it as against it, it would depend on who was paying for the research.
All the best,
Steve

Re: Aldi 6-burner: convert to natural gas?

I'd say there's every chance that the OP is no longer around, their last post was in September 2015. As others have suggested, to convert from LP to natural gas it isn't a simple job and one left to the professionals. You'd certainly lose any savings you might have made buying a cheap BBQ, as I woul...

I did one a few weeks ago. I didn't trim it at all, just rubbed it all over and straight into the GMG it turned out fine.
