Fire Magic Grills

The Fire Magic Company

If you are interested in the Rolls Royce of BBQ’s you should have a look at R.H. Peterson’s Fire Magic line of BBQ grills. Fire Magic has been around for a long time (since 1937) and has a reputation for making high quality grills from its inception. They are mainly known in California but have recently begun to get a larger following with some great chefs in New York. A Fire Magic grill is also used on the Today show!

Different Styles of Fire Magic

The Fire Magic grills come in three main styles (all available in either stand-alone or built-in):

Legacy, Aurora and Echelon

The Legacy style is the most affordable style and has models using charcoal, gas and countertop ones. The original Fire Magic Grill model (“the Deluxe”) falls into this category and is both popular and affordable.

The Aurora

This style is the mid-range line-up. These come with features such as a smoker burner, lights inside the grill, separate heat zones, and a standard rotisserie package.

The Echelon

This is the top-of-the-range includes all the features of an Aurora and also offers such additions as a seamless hood, a built in integrated smoker and halogen lighting for cooking in the dark. It also has an advanced backburner, a digital thermometer and cook zone dividers.

Fire Magic BBQ’s features

Cast stainless steel burners

Most people don’t know this but regular BBQ’s have stainless steel burners and these WILL rust (albeit slower than when using a sheet metal burner like the budget ones use!). Fire Magic grills are warranted against rust and burn-through! The burners are uniquely designed and combined with their placement, SS flavor grids, hood design, extra firebox height and internal size provide the best even heat distribution. The burner placement is such that the portholes are spaced evenly throughout the entire BBQ. This makes it easy to control the flame and avoid any flare-ups.

Stainless steel grill

If you are in the market for a stainless steel grill, it is recommended you buy one with 304 stainless steel grills. This is the grade of stainless that will not rust. All these grills have a life-time warranty against rust and the manufacturers can confidently give you this warranty because if they use this grade of steel it will not accept rust on its surface. All Fire Magic grills are made with 304 stainless, so you will never have to worry about rust.
