Well I got back from our little trip to the Hunter Valley (bought some nice wines). Unfortunately the weather is really cooperating with my BBQ plans, basically it’s too cold (was only 16C today in Sydney).
Now I know what you’re saying I’ve got a lot of toys to play with (new remote Maverick, new Stoker and various other BBQ playthings) so I should just BBQ….
Well on one of my fav forums we have a saying “if you don’t have the picture it didn’t happen” and I subscribe to that theory. I did have a cook (a quick 20 minute grill) on the Weber last night involving some pork chops and corn but as I didn’t make any photo’s it didn’t happen (by the way it still tasted nice). So I did have a look at my BBQ books and picked out 2 recipes to cook for the long weekend coming up. So the plan is to do a some lamb burgers on Sunday followed by a chook on Monday (they will both have photo’s and recipes). Maybe I’ll do another midweek cook later this week…we’ll see.
Well that’s it as I said it’s just a short update, I haven’t stopped updating this blog but have been a bit quiet. Oh yeah I also intend to use the Stoker on the Monday and see if I can put the Maverick to use on both nights…. Reviews are coming!!
