One of the items I use when using smoking chips is my Weber Wood Soaker. This little gadget ensures that all of you wood chips are soaked by ensuring they’re all underwater.

It works in the following way:

Here’s the empty Wood Soaker, notice the lid (which screws into the soaker):

You fill it up with hot water from the tap:

Then you add some wood chips:

You the screw the lid in so all the wood chips are submerged:

After about half an hour to an hour you drain the water and unscrew the lid et voila soaked chips rady for smoking:

Cleaning the sucker is easy and no more picking bits of wood out of your drain (yeah like we all haven’t done that at one point in time).
