Well I had a bit of a hard time with the quote for my stoker as per my previous posts however it is in the sky as we speak… The USPS tracking site told me that: “Your item left the United States from SAN FRANCISCO at 12:05 PM on July 11, 2008″ that means that I should get my stoker next week.
Now I also ordered a Maverick ET-73 from a Queensland based company.
This has now arrived however it has been placed in embargo (and so will my stoker) until my birthday on the 23rd of July. Yeah yeah I know I shouldn’t do my own birthday present buying however my lovely wife (rightly?) said that I knew what I needed/wanted and should order these complex items myself. Well who am I to disagree?
So I now have a Maverick ET-73 sitting wrapped up in my wife’s study (I did check to make sure it worked; and it does!) awaiting it’s first used AND review.
This unfortunately means that when my Stoker arrives it will likely be embargoed for use as well. Sjeesh this is going to take some willpower not to use these great gadgets.
Anyway no BBQ today but I’m definitely going to have a cook tomorrow.
