Lamb cutlets

Post by No Use For A Name »

Here's my first contribution to What Did You Cook. Hopefully the first of many.

Tonight was a very simple and quick lamb cutlets. Did a garlic, chilli, lemon zest, salt, pepper and oil marinade, heat the Weber Q on high for direct cooking.

Because I didn't want to over cook the cutlets, I cooked with the lid open. 3 minutes on each side. The marinade was probably too chunky as it gave a little bit of flavour, but the majority ended up on the grill rather than on the lamb itself (as you can see in the second photo).

Turned out tasty. Probably would cook with the lid down next time to keep some more heat in and get a bit more char on the meat.
