YODER Pellet Grills in Australia

Post by Grill Pro Australia »

Hi,
Exciting news..... just thought I would let you all know that we are importing the Yoder YS480 & YS640 into Australia from the US.

We will also be producing our very own Pellets from Bourbon & Wine Oak Barrels as well as importing traditional Pellets from the US like Hickory.

We have photos & videos on our Facebook page: Grill Pro

Follow us on Twitter: @Grill_Pro

Email: info@grillpro.com.au

We will advise our website as soon as its up ( probably later next week )

Happy BBQing all,

David

Pardon my ignorance!!! I have never seen a pellet smoker before but read much about them - something I want to start getting into...

So let me get this straight - the pellets generate the heat.... so the burner is electric right. This plugs into AC power?

I'm selling 9KG bags of Hickory griller pellets by BBQ'r Delight in Sydney and ship all over AU so I believe your pellet smokers will help me sell more bags LOL.

Another question is, how much time will it take to go through 9KGs of pellets in one of your smokers? That is how many cooking hours can you get from 9KG?

Hi,
Yes the temperature controller & the auger feeding the hardwood pellets into the fire are electric.

check out our Facebook page : Pro Grill

Consumption totally depends on the temperature you set.

Cheers,

AGREED!! I have have kept company a few times with one of these units and they are properly built and designed rigs. Great to see them hitting Qz 8)

On a personal note I would wait a bit longer to go to the UK. The market is tiny in England and it changes like the wind unfortunately.

Ha! Always with the difficult questions Mick!

I know they are working on the pricing and distributorship now, so that should come out in the next couple of weeks. These are the first three to come in, they are for promotion, I know the boys are keen to get stock here ASAP, and the US season is winding down now, so Yoder will have a chance to produce the stock we need for OZ. Pricing won't be clear till the shipping/import cost is worked out and the cost of conversion to 240V and complience costs are worked out.

Cheers
