The chooks turned out well and were demolished by all. Crispy skin and moist meat. Everybody was hungry and I was getting hassled about "when is dinner going to ready Dad" so I forgot about the pictures.

I even put some vegies in a tray underneath the chooks. They were all eaten as well.

Now what to cook for dinner tonight?

Went well!

Heat stayed through all night but had dropped off by this morning.. I quickly got it back to temp and all was well:

A tad over but taste was pretty decent with some excellent smokey flavours.

Pizzas tonight were off.the.hook. So good. Easily the best I've ever made. I love this BBQ. I'm hooked.

Well done Niko. Make sure you use the "authentic Italian pizza dough" recipe off this forum. It takes a little planning and time to make, but it's seriously seriously worth it.

I'll definitely give it a go. Last night's dough was a mix of plain, strong and a touch of whole meal.. No knead and a long ferment.

And a good dusting of semolina flour when rolling out.

I was pretty impressed by how untouched my charcoal looked this morning.

Yep, these things run on a small amount of charcoal and you can just keep topping it up as needed. The only thing to look out for is the really small bits blocking the air holes at the bottom of the plate. I just push them to one side and they burn away and occasionally I scoop them out.

Well done Bunnings! After dropping the price to $210 when they were a clearance item, they're now back on the shelf at $499!

Hey guys, I'm heading back to the UK for a few weeks so thought I'd cover up the akorn, it's the first time I've used the cover that come with it and I must say I'm impressed with the quality of the cover, for a freebie it fits well and is very thick:

Unfortunately mine is rarely not in use for me to justify putting the cover on (because then I'll just have to take it off again). :)
