Maybe there is a thread on here like this, but i thought i'd make one for the Weber Baby Q
After purchasing a Weber Baby Q Premium (Q1200) only a week ago, i've tried the below.
Please add you're own Baby Q cooks with a brief cooking procedure
Rolled Pork Loin Roast
Only a small 850gram Rolled Pork Loin
Prepared with Slashing, Boiling water, Dried, Salted, Oiled and Room Temp.
Baby Q Preheated until 310 degrees C
Pork placed on trivet and cooked on HIGH for 35min
Turned to Low, Meat Thermo added, removed at 65 degrees internal temp.
Total cook time, maybe 45min
Notes: 9/10. Next time all go 40min on HIGH first

Lamb Chops
Prepared with Salt, Paper and Rosemary in olive oil, Room Temp.
Weber Preheated until 280 degrees C
Cooked at same HIGH setting for 2min per side + 1 min
Notes: Cook was a compromise, the meat was over done and the fat was under done.
The fat was only just rendered to the point you could eat it, made a hell of a mess inside the Weber.
Next time i think i'll cook at a lower temp but for slightly longer?
Or just do them on my 4 Burner.

Pork Chops
Just salted and lightly oiled, Weber Preheated to 250 degrees
Cooked for 2min a side. Next time i'll do 1.45min a side.
Notes: 9/10, Flavour was amazing!!!! Meat slightly over cooked, will play with timing next time.

Scotch Fillet
30mm Thick Scotch Fillet
Brought to Room Temp, generous ground Pepper and Salt, light olive oil rub
Weber preheated to 300 degrees C
Cooked for 1.45min a side, rested for 2minutes.
Notes: Flavour 9/10, Slightly under done, but not under cooked if you know what i'm saying, it was almost blue in the centre, but completely eatable
I enjoy a rare steak, but next time i'll cook it for 2min a side or perhaps a hint longer

Re: Weber Baby Q - Trials and Cooks
I haven't even read the Weber Books that came with the unit yet, or the DVD
So please, if anyone has some tips or advice or can add there own cooks, fire away
Im starting to see why people like these units, i'm a hard man to convince, but so far it seems promising
Especially as a Portable Camping solution.

Re: Weber Baby Q - Trials and Cooks
Not very often I say this.
The Books that come with the Weber are a great read for Technique, they are very helpful and simple.
our Weber sat in the front boot of our Galaxy perfectly
