Well, I tested it in my #5 imperial....no go, the Fire Ring is too high...a short fire ring (or an improvise and it would be OK.
And Yes Bodgy, I'll post it down in Gadgets.
Cheers

"Some of us have a small problem with a crack developing in the heat deflector plate and Vik even broken one (miss judgement on putting it down whilst hot )"
All lies I tell you, me thinks my first burn was too hot with it,learnt you need to season the Kamado with a small fire first...
vik... ah wall live and learn...!!!

UG will have to answer the techncial question even heat distribution and all that I suppose,
BUT really it's the awrff factor when you open the Kamado lid to show mates and they see the divinelly cooked leg of meat or chickens hanging there
Similar to a spit roast

Well you get even heat going past....the "rotisserie effect" but in the case of the Pork belly I want the skin sitting vertical and the air going past so the fat drips off and doesn't saturate the skin.
and ....of course the WOW factor!
Think also....hanging Sausages, Fish etc!

I'm looking at making an additional ring to attach to it so I can hang Tandorri Chicken skewers or Chinese red roast pork strips from it
That is once it traverses the Nullabor - which hopefully is happen as I type thanks to UG prompt service

Add me to the list, purchased mine in July 2011.
I have, unfortunately cracked one of the end pieces off the plate setter and also cracked the fire ring (after trying to knock off some burnt bits like an idiot) but it still all works so I can't complain too much
