Been trawling around my computer for a pic - this is the only one I can find - but it has no Canister attached!

you can see it is a neat fit - the canister sits at right angles.

you can change the canister without removing the adapter. - I haven't removed mine since I screwed it on 4 years ago.

Hi guys - it's been a long off season, but the BBQ is finally out and about again. Couldn't help but notice this thread has had a few replies since last year.

Mitchamus, are you saying adding that adaptor allows us to simply use some different canisters? If so, roughly how much more do you get out of the canisters compared to the ones you use by default with the performer?

They are roughly 1/8th the cost of the regular canisters.
and are the same size.

So to answer your question - about 800% more.

Thanks for the quick response. Are there any negatives to using these opposed to the standard ones? (I.e. do they leak between cooks, or anything else?)

I'm surprised these haven't been mentioned more often previously.

Edit. Just noticed that the standard canisters are 70/30 butane/propane. Are the other ones the same mix, and if not are there any potential issues. Sorry about all the questions, just want to make sure there's no issues before switching over.

Fantastic. Just ordered one, and looking forward to trying out with the cheaper canisters.

Hard to tell from your image, but I assume the canister sits from left to right as you are facing the bench?
