Amazing job Ian!
I can't wait to try your recipe - just need to find a day with a spare 8 hours now
Great looking pics are making me hungry, time to cook up breakfast methinks!

Re: Looking for my first BBQ! Advice please! :)
Hi Skykill, Not trying to steal the captains thunder but i have a Q220 in NG and have an opinion to share... First of all, if looking at the 200 series, definitely get the 220 over the 200 - pretty much the same price but with a higher hood for roasting (and great for Pizza and baking), the electron...

Re: Cajun Lamb Backstrap with BBQ Veg, Roast Tatas and Beans
Hi Commander/Kevin, Wow that's some outdoors you have! I put the veg on first by 10 mins but the heat was on lower than for the lamb, and i definitely lost a lot of heat when i lifted the lid to stir the veg/take too many photo's :D and the Q never recovered the ambient heat even after cranking it b...

Cajun Lamb Backstrap with BBQ Veg, Roast Tatas and Beans
Hi Guys, Was after a quick and easy meal after working a long day and spending nearly 3 hours on the road to boot! The Mrs Roasted some spuds (indoors) and cooked up some green beans and i made the most of some backstap and assorted Veg... The B/S and Veg recipes are pretty much straight out of the ...

Re: I love my Weber Q!!!
Cheers for the replies guys. The Q really can make anyone a decent cook! The digital thermometer i bought on advice from this forum makes a huge difference too. There was no duck fat on the spuds although i am sorely tempted to try that now :D I just use EVOO and make my own seasoning usually just s...

Re: Looking at the Q320. Good choice?
Hi Legend, I'm relatively new round here but I have a Q220. It is somewhat smaller than the 320 and although i am no expert i have already comfortably cooked for 6 on it. (that was a roast chook, gourmet snags, bacon rashers and roast spuds for all) I think the 320 should meet your needs. Especially...

Re: I love my Weber Q!!!
Dinner was even better :D I started by marinating some racks of lamb for a couple of hours and par boiled some potatoes. http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x334/yamapro1/Roasting/Iphone072598x800.jpg To the Tata's i added some rock salt and a fair splash of local EVOO. This was then all thrown on t...

I love my Weber Q!!!
Hi All, First of all let me state that i am a complete BBQ hack having only ever chased hotspots around a poorly shielded grill in windy areas up until now! As some of you may know i recently aquired a Q220 in NG form. Up until today I've only had time to do a few quick meals on. Still those steaks,...

Re: Noob from ADL
Hi again all and thanks for the warm welcome, Amfibius - yes i am the very same, thought i recognised your handle on some posts. I'm the first to admit Yamapro is a bit of a dumb name but it's easier to have the same handle on any forums i may be involved in. I guess we have some shared common groun...

Noob from ADL
Hi Guys, A quick hello and thanks already for the great advice i have received as a lurker... Last week i finally bought a Weber Q220 (NG) from our local specialist. Had ummed and arred for a while but a combination of the good write up's (esp here) and the great food i had sampled from the Q range ...
